The 23rd Meeting of Lions & Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation (CMCF) Board of Directors took place on 29 October 2024. The meeting welcomed Lion Shum Ngan, District Governor for the International Lions Clubs District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China for 2024-25, serving as the new Ex-officio Director. During the meeting, the Board decided to relaunch the Privilege Scheme of Chinese Medicine Service for the Elderly on 1 January 2025 (details to be announced soon).
CMCF received several substantial donations, including HKD700,000 from Director Lion Leung Tak Kwan, HKD211,775 from Lions Clubs International District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China, and HKD100,000 from H H Lam & Co. Additionally, Director Lion Teresa Mann contributed HKD100,000 in support of the launch of Charity Fundraising Ambassador Initiative. These contributions have collectively raised over HKD1.1 million to support CMCF in providing subsidised Chinese Medicine services to underprivileged elderly individuals. Following the meeting, the Board held a cheque presentation ceremony and expressed gratitude to these dedicated supporters for their generosity and commitment.
CMCF will continue its commitment to mobilise support through its network, ensuring that more elderly individuals have access to quality Chinese medicine and healthcare services at an affordable cost.
