Privacy Policy

Lions & Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation Limited (the Foundation) is committed to full implementation and compliance with the relevant provisions of the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the Ordinance) in handling your personal data.

Personal data of donors and prospective donors of the Foundation are collected, kept and used for the purposes of handling donation and related administrative matters, sending news and updates of the Foundation;

Personal data of applicants and cardholders of the Privilege Scheme of Chinese Medicine Service for Elderly are collected, kept and used for the purposes of handling the applications and administrative matters of the Scheme.

Your personal data held by the Foundation will be kept confidential, and it will also be shared with appropriate personnel of the Lions Clubs International District 303 – Hong Kong & Macao, China, Hong Kong Baptist University and its School of Chinese Medicine for the purposes stated above.

Under the Ordinance, individuals have the right to request access to and correction of their personal data held by the Foundation. Requests for data access can be made by filling out a Data Access Request Form OPS003 (revised 09/2012) specified by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, and follow-up data correction requests can be made in writing via email to scm@hkbu.edu.hk. The Foundation may charge you a fee to cover the administrative cost for data access, while data correction requests will be fulfilled without a fee.
