CMCF 15th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner
In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the Lions and Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation (Foundation) hosted a fundraising dinner on 16 December 2022. The dinner was officiated by Dr. Lam Hoi Ham, JP, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation; Mr. Shin Kin Man, District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China; Mr. Paulman Tse, Chairman of the 15th Anniversary Fundraising Committee; Mr. Faye Cheung, Principal Social Services Secretary (Elderly & Rehabilitation) of Po Leung Kuk; Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary of HKBU; Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine; and other Foundation members. Other HKBU representatives joining this dinner included Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement at HKBU and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Li Min, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) of Chinese Medicine and Professor Sun Feng, Associate Director of Clinical Division, School of Chinese Medicine.
The fundraising dinner raised HKD 1 million in total for the “Privilege Scheme of Chinese Medicine Service for Elderly” and other related service in which elderly people in need could receive Chinese medicine treatment, health enhancement, disease prevention, clinical treatment, and hence increase their overall health standard.
A cheque presentation ceremony was held on the same occasion to express sincere gratitude to the sponsors of the fundraising dinner, including Mr. Wong Ya Ming (Title Sponsor), Dr. Lam Hoi Ham, JP, City Lions Club of Hong Kong and Dr. Sandra Leung. The Foundation also presented appreciation certificates to donors with accumulated donation over HKD 1 million, including Lions Club of Tuen Mun, an overseas donation, Lions Clubs International District 303 – Hong Kong & Macao, China, Hung Hin Shiu Charitable Foundation Ltd. and Dr. Lam Hoi Ham, JP, in recognition of their staunch support for the Foundation over the past years.
